Sprout Recieves 5 Million, Continues to Build

I really like sprout even though It’s the kind of concept I normally wouldn’t go for. The widget in my sidebar is a sprout widget that I built online at sproutbuilder.com. Sprout builder makes it easy to edit widgets online with a whole host of options for adding videos from youtube, images from flicker, and almost anything from your own stockpile. They can be easily shared and used by others so they can become viral quickly. I use my sprout on a regular basis to show video in my sidebar because it’s easy to set the size and add the content I want simply by placing the link to the video in the widget. I can also integrate my own images along with the video. Some folks have designed some pretty cool widgets with sprout. Check them out at sprout builder.

Netflix raising prices on Blu-ray?

Netflix to raise rental fees on Blu-ray. “What’s the best way to punish the same early adopter customers that helped make your service a success in the first place? If you’re Netflix, it’s charging them extra for renting Blu-ray.” - What are they going to do charge extra for Digital Surround? The problem is that the whole industry is charging far to much for disks that cost very little to make so that high level producers and investors can make a fortune. I think buyers are looking at these disks and asking, are you kidding? Blu-ray movies have been going up - from 20-30 dollars in some cases. $30 for a movie? Something I’m going to watch maybe 5 or 6 times in my life? This is why I don’t buy movies - well I’ve bought a few movies - their overpriced. Then again there are those people who will watch the hundreds of movies they own often enough to make the their purchase “worth it” - I’ve never been able to understand them.
